The United Nations Security Council has agreed to impose sanctions against anyone contributing to violence and instability in Somalia. Meanwhile UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is continuing diplomatic efforts to assemble a multinational force to combat pirates in the Horn of Africa.
